Super Bowl Prep…

Sometimes thinking about food is even more exciting than the actual event itself.

As my husband and I have been contemplating about what are some of the items that will be on our (possible) Super Bowl Party Menu, he decided that he wanted to try a new recipe that he came across.  In doing this, he also decided that we needed to sample this dish today (Sunday) which meant that “I” didn’t have to cook 🙂 … (whoohooo) So I left him in the kitchen to his recipe and creative ideas.

As I curiously peeped in to check on his status, I had to take a few “Before” Pictures…

Okay, I said to myself…It looks like he knows exactly what he’s doing…Hmmm.  The proof will be in the pudding 🙂  Finally it was done!

What was pleasing to me was when he asked “Babe” we need to stage it so that it looks pretty on a plate..Can I say that “Mama was proud”  I guess all the staging that he has had to endure while helping me over the years has finally started to pay off…

…and here it is.  He did an AMAZING JOB (Very Good, I ate a few)

The Gang’s All Here…

Sometimes the absolute best events that I am blessed to be apart of are the ones with those near and dear to me.  Sometimes it’s not about the linen, catered food or decor.  Sometimes it’s simply about tapping into what really matters friends and family.

There is nothing that excites me more than one of God’s greatest gifts “My Girlfriends“.  If you don’t have some, you really need to get yourself a few.  They love you unconditionally, they stand behind you through the good times as well as the bad.  They always tell you the truth about yourself (even when you don’t want to hear it).

I have been gifted with some of the absolute best girlfriends in the world.  They serve as a safe place for you to be totally transparent and without any judgement.

In honor of this, a few of my besties decided to do a sleepover..So much fun just being grown silly women…

We were all gifted with a pair of the cutest comfy cozy socks which symbolized that the sleepover was about to begin.

Here’s a few characteristics of a Great “BFF”:

Loyal, Intelligent, Sensitive, Sometimes Humorous, Honest, A Great Listener, Supportive & Amazingly Generous

It’s so therapeutic to be able to get things off your chest and know that it will stay with them confidently, and also know that they won’t share your private words or moments of vulnerability with anyone else.

They sometimes know you better than you know yourself.  They are able to sense when something is off with you and will quickly run to your rescue without a second thought (right on cue)  That’s what a Great BFF does!

As I began to embark on this 2015 year expected to be filled with adventure, education, more business and great exposure.
